Half Orc Series

Hello Internet! Today I would like to write a little personal recommendation for one of my favorite book series The Half-Orcs. The series starts with the Weight of Blood, where the twin brothers Harruq and Qurrah living in squalor and being outcasts in the human city they live in. I don't want to give to much away but eventually they become embroiled in a war between two gods, though that starts in the 2nd book or so, and things keep going crazy from there. It is a really fun adventure with a whole host of diverse and fun characters. They have characters that make you laugh and ones that you'll hate. Each character is unique and has there own story and motives. The series can be found at the website below. I have read all of the Half-Orc series and the Paladin books. I hope to read more books by David Dalglish soon.

I read the first book, the Weight of Blood, on the iBooks app on my phone and it was free. The first one is definitely the weakest in the series but everyone has to start somewhere right? It is still a good read but know that the series only continues to improve. The other books I've been able to find for $1-2 on the iBooks app and you can also order them from the website listed below. On my phone each book was around 400-700 pages. They are quick, simple, and fun reads. I highly regimen all lovers of fantasy to check these books out!

In the series you find the traditional fantasy races of Elves, Humans, and Orcs. These are all pretty much what you would expect to find in a fantasy setting. However as you read more and find out more about the world of Dezrel you encounter wolfmen, not werewolves, priests and Paladins for the two major religions, and so much more. The religion and political ideologies and intrigues are a breath of fresh air because sometimes the good guys and bad guys have to team up. The central conflict is pretty much good vs evil but meeting characters from both side really shows its not that simple.

Give the books a read and I promise you won't be disappointed.
